Cannibal Corpse – Violence Unimagined (2021)

Now that the intense hype around this thing has died down I feel like I can safely stick my head above the parapet without being called a hipster or a dinosaur or (sharp intake) a boomer. I’m clearly missing something because I just don’t understand what it is that sounds so good about this album.

Permission to speak freely, but for me this is just variations on a theme from the usual output of latter career Cannibal Corpse. If you like that stuff then fantastic, but I think the endless ass-kissing and hype over this thing is a testament to how bored we’ve all been during lockdown. Sorry.
