Blood – Gas – Flame – Bones (1999)

Blood are one of my favourite low key bands. They’ve been plugging away for donkeys years, releasing a slew of grinding death metal. I was lucky to catch them at OEF with Witchskinner on vocals.

Anyways I digress. Gas – Flame – Bones is a haunting take on the death grind template. The production is drenched in reverb, almost in a black metal style, and the album art lends a morbid edge to proceedings, more so than usual for this kind of thing. Dark stuff indeed.
