Waco Jesus ‎– The Destruction Of Commercial Scum (1999)

What I like about Waco Jesus is that they are primarily a death metal band that doesn’t take themselves too seriously, yet also manages to retain a brutal and sinister edge. Some of the misogynistic overtones are a bit much, especially by 2021 standards, but this is brutal death metal we’re talking about so realistically I need to shut my fucking face about that.

A solid record, if not a little short for a death metal album, at 25 minutes in length.
