Burzum – Et hvitt lys over skogen (????)
The title track is fantastic, if a little rustic, but this is to be expected. I’d never heard this before now even though it appears on the Draugen compilation, that comp is such a shitshow I never made it all the way through. A great early Burzum track and well worth seeking out, It is on the b-side here however where the audio quality drops off. It contains what appears to be a rehearsal demo or very early rough take of “Lost Wisdom”, which phases in and out as the tape it is sourced from appears to be degraded significantly. Either way, it is still a vital listen for die hards and archivist types.
The release date of this 7″ is disputed, hence the ???? I have placed in the title. It is believed to either be late 90s or early 2000s.
