Sulfuric Cautery – Suffocating Feats Of Dehumanization (2023)

Suffocating Feats Of Dehumanization is a contender for my favourite release of 2023 so far. This thing is an incredibly well made goregrind release, taking the template laid on the Chainsaws… album and doubling down on it. On the surface of it, Suffocating… comes across like Putrefaction In Progress-era LDOH, but this is actually well crafted (no shade to LDOH’s noise), with chunky riffs beneath the carnage and some of the best drumming and vocals in the grind game.

Absurdly brutal and uncompromising. I cannot recommend it enough.
