Taake – Bjoergvin (2002)

Well made and brilliantly written black metal, but not in the style that I’m the biggest fan of. The production is frosty, grim and at the same time sparkling with life and activity. The album unfolds in such a way that it does genuinely feel like you are on some sort of epic journey.

I gotta admit, I absolutely lost it when the “boing” sound goes off. Interesting decision, that.
