Impetigo – Horror Of The Zombies (1992)

Arguably the definitive Impetigo record? It’s hard to say. I’ve struggled to get into Impetigo in the past but with Horror Of The Zombies, that all changed. This has to be one of my favourite sounds in all of metal, punk and grind. It’s just so dirty, grimy and dusty. I just want a million cassettes of this thing, so you can bury them with me once I die.

Impetigo perhaps need no introduction, but if you are reading and not familiar with them, they are a band that has been super influential on both the death metal and grindcore worlds with their gore obsessed tunes (think b-movie gore rather than Carcass-style pathological stuff).
