Bolt Thrower – Realm Of Chaos (1989)

In September 2022, I wrote the following about Realm Of Chaos:

“I’ve never been the biggest fan of Bolt Thrower. I think that’s entirely because I never really bought into the hype, more than out of any dislike for what I’ve heard. My knowledge of this band however, begins and ends with this album. I’ve never heard any others. That may change however, as I’ve spun this a few times recently and really gotten into it. “World Eater” is a beast of a track. And that bass! Intense.”

At the time, I made a note to go back and review it properly, because something of this magnitude no doubt deserved a better review. The trouble is, in the last (near) 2 years, I’ve listened to Realm Of Chaos multiple times, and I really do not have all that much to add. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good album, and it sounds great. But I just cannot get all that excited about it. So here’s my poser-ass confession:

I don’t get all the hype about Bolt Thrower.
