Ancient – Trolltaar (1995)
Solid early release from Ancient, with what is – in all fairness – a balanced and well-rounded production. It’s hard to get too invested in just three tracks, but the atmosphere is fantastic. Musically, this will scratch that “early 90s” black metal itch you are perhaps looking off the beaten path for, but do not expect a completely unlistenable and necrotic demo sound from the tracks here on Trolltaar.
