The Rolling Stones – Sympathy for the Devil (Remix) (2003)

When I saw this thing on the shelf at the local Woolworths, I mistook it for new Stones stuff and immediately bought it and took it to my dad at his place of work. He seemed very confused, even annoyed that I had shown up at his place of work to give him a CD, and he quickly ushered me the fuck outta there not giving a second look at the fucking CD, which hurt at the time, but as an adult I realise why he did what he did, even if it wasn’t handled in the best way.

Anyway, later that day, when he got home from work, we fired up the PC and put this DVD into the drive (it was the only way we could play DVDs at the time). We both sat there in utter boredom and confusion, staring at the shitty video that had been made for the Neptunes remix of the classic song; “What was the point in this shit?” being the collective thought of the day. 21 years later, my thoughts remain the same, and I expect my old man has long forgotten this thing even exists.

The reflective cover was pretty cool, though.
