Молчат Дома – Этажи (2018)

Stunning, dreamy, nostalgic – these are a few words that spring to mind with this album playing. In fact this is so good I threw down on a copy of the cassette release off the strength of the first track alone. I can’t wait for it to arrive so I can listen to it again on an analogue format (dec 2021 update: it sounds amazing).

Mixing the treacle-like haunted nostalgia vibes of vaporwave with morose 80s electronic pop, this record is steeped in soviet / fall of the iron curtain vibes. I’m unsure if that’s the intention, but the sound immediately throws me back to that era. Brilliant album.
