Type O Negative – Life Is Killing Me (2003)

Life Is Killing Me is the final Roadrunner-released Type O record, and brings the band back to focus on their original doomy riffery. Don’t get me wrong, World Coming Down was heavy as shit, but things seem a little more focused here. I’m unsure if I’m remembering things incorrectly, but this release seemed very low key, and aside from single “I Don’t Wanna Be Me”, the record more or less flew under the radar. I was very young when this came out, so I could be wrong.

Listening now though, its nice to see some elements of the band’s sound come full circle in the decade or so they released records for Roadrunner. My favourite track on this thing also has to be the title track, with its switching of moods and explosive chorus.
